More is to follow but for now here are a couple custom made parts for the desired end result.
The upper spindle bearing mounting bracket…
The Bearing mount bracket ( which mounts to the bracket above )…
and the ‘almost finished’ end result –> almost because a few finishing touches are to be applied…
i.e. shorten the control cables/wires and install a guard to cover the spindle when extended.
Looking closely at the pic the motor has been upgraded to a 0.75hp WEG with VFD. The step drive pulleys have been retained.
